Assessment of Interpolation Errors of CYGNSS Soil Moisture Estimations

چکیده

High spatiotemporal soil moisture (SM) is essential for many meteorological, hydrological, and agricultural applications studies. Spaceborne Global Navigation Satellite System-Reflectometry (GNSS-R) provides a promising opportunity high-resolution SM retrievals. NASA’s Cyclone System (CYGNSS) recent GNSS-R application that offers relatively high spatial temporal resolution observations from earth’s surface. However, the quasi-random sampling of land surface by CYGNSS constellation circumvents obtaining fully observed daily predictions at resolutions. Spatial interpolation techniques may fill this gap provide covered estimation. errors need to be assessed when applied 9-km CYGNSS-based estimations. In article, we conduct error analysis using Soil Moisture Active Passive (SMAP) Enhanced L3 Radiometer Daily product, sampled observation locations. The results indicate overall (RMSE) was 0.013 m $^3$ $^{-3}$ over SMAP’s recommended grids. addition, sparse are directly interpolated. achieved show interpolated values have similar performance metrics validated with SMAP gridded product as well networks.

assessment of the efficiency of s.p.g.c refineries using network dea

data envelopment analysis (dea) is a powerful tool for measuring relative efficiency of organizational units referred to as decision making units (dmus). in most cases dmus have network structures with internal linking activities. traditional dea models, however, consider dmus as black boxes with no regard to their linking activities and therefore do not provide decision makers with the reasons...

Estimating precipitation errors using spaceborne surface soil moisture retrievals

[1] Limitations in the availability of ground-based rain gauge data currently hamper our ability to quantify errors in global precipitation products over data-poor areas of the world. Over land, these limitations may be eased by approaches based on interpreting the degree of dynamic consistency existing between precipitation estimates and remotely-sensed surface soil moisture retrievals. This p...

Adsorption of arsenic on soil under different soil moisture conditions

The adsorption study was conducted on three Japanese soils with different soil properties to characterize the adsorption pattern of Arsenic (As). Double tube method was used to find out the effect of soil moisture levels on As adsorption. For this study, besides double tube method, conventional batch method also was used. The As adsorption showed two phase kinetics. An initial and rapid adsorpt...
